It could easily be a tiger of late Cretaceous, Carnotaurus Sastrei.
Evaporation of humidity and the rain that fell on it's back is caused by the body heath. Big prehistoric forest areas have very unstable weather, and are constantly watered. I don't like to think of dinosaurs as cold blooded,slowly moving excuses for living beings, instead, In my mind, they are agile, fast, active warmblooded animals. Such is this Carnotaurus, who stopped briefly to listen around, before moving on trough thick vegetation of this prehistoric jungle. This image was made quite a while ago. It was a result of a composition test for an animation. I wanted to see how would this animal look in the green surroundings before animating it and start putting the environment in 3d. |

However I can't but note a few inaccuracies:
- dinosaurs simply could not bend their torsos that way the spine being far too rigid to allow such a range of movement.
- the ear hole is not in the infratemporal fenestra. It should be along the back margin of the skull above the jaw articulation.
- from what I've read on the skin impressions of Carnotaurus the scales could use being smaller though it's your call really.
